At this tier you will also be able to craft yourself a Bronze axe which will give you the ability to collect Fine Wood. As you need 2 units of copper and 1 unit of tin to make bronze, you are going to be collecting vast quantities of each in order to craft a lot of items. Using this you will be able to advance to the next progression step in Valheim and set yourself up for beat the next forsaken, The Elder.Īt the mid-game point you are probably going to be grinding a lot of materials. Mining up copper and tin will give you access to the forge and bronze. With hard antler you will be able to make your first pickaxe in the game and start mining some metal. After you have defeated the first boss you will be given an item known as Hard Antler.

You will see 5 different stones with hooks in the current version of the game. These stones are where you will bring back the trophies of the forsaken in order to sacrifice them to the gods. With so many things to see and do already in the game, you don’t have to just seek out the bosses and get straight to it. Although this is the main gameplay loop of the game, many players are taking their time building up their bases, collecting other items in the game or just trying to explore the entirety of the map. The general gameplay loop is that you will be defeating a forsaken, unlocking a new tier of equipment, grinding these resources to make good gear and seeking out and destroying the next boss. Players will be defeating these creatures alone, or with a friend and advancing and upgrading their equipment and armor to defeat the next opponent.
